Ant and Dec to make special announcement about 'I'm A Celebrity' on Saturday Night Takeaway tonight

Ant & Dec will make a special announcement about 'I'm A Celebrity' on on Saturday Night Takeaway tonight.

The Geordie duo have been back on our out screens with the 'happiest ninety minutes of the week' since last month. So far, they have pranked Alison Hammond and got in the ears of Claudia Winkleman and Joe Wicks.

The pair have also given a bunch of lucky audience members and viewers a "place on the plane" to Florida, ahead of the show's finale at Universal Studios.

The Manchester Evening News reports how the presenters will now make a big announcement about 'I'm a Celebrity' during the popular Saturday night show.

In a social media video, shared on Friday, Ant told their followers: "Hello everybody. We've got a very exciting announcement." Dec then cut in, telling him: "We're going to do the announcement tomorrow," to which his pal and co-star replied: "Ah, just do it now - I hate tension."

But Dec insisted: "No, we're going to do it tomorrow but I can give you a little clue today. A little tease." He then pulled out one of the stars that contestants have to collect on I'm A Celeb saying: "This is what it's all about." Ant then gasped: "Get Me Out Of Here!" while they both smiled and nodded.

It comes as ITV prepares to air a special trip to the jungle, featuring stars from previous series. It is expected that they will finally put truth to the rumour that there will be a special series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Ant and Dec hosting I'm A Celebrity (ITV)

This year, viewers will get to see an 'I'm A Celebrity 'All Stars' series which the hosting duo have already filmed in South Africa, as well as the usual series Down Under.

They confirmed at the time that the new series, which they described as the 'worst kept secret in television' will see a line-up of all old I’m A Celeb contestants and now the 15 celebrities set to take part have reportedly been revealed.

Revealing the news about the spin-off series on Twitter, the show's hosts wrote: "South Africaaaaaaa! That’s right, we’re filming a very special version of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa which is coming to your tellies in 2023."

Among those reportedly trying to be crowned the ultimate King or Queen of the jungle are Coronation Street's Andy Whyment, former soap star Helen Flanagan and former winner Joe Swash.
