Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway to air extra one-off episode this weekend

Fans of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be treated to an extra episode this weekend as ITV airs a one-off special.

The finale of this year's series will air at its usual time of 7pm on Saturday, followed by a new fly-on-the-wall documentary all about the making of the show to air at 7pm on Sunday. Starring the Geordie duo, Saturday Night Takeaway: Behind The Screens will give viewers an exclusive look into what goes on behind the scenes to create the hit series.

Ant said of the new special: "We are really excited to lift the curtain a little on Saturday Night Takeaway. We'll have footage of all the ups and downs, the last-minute dramas that come with making a weekly live entertainment show. Believe me, there are lots of dramas that happen behind the scenes."

Dec added: "We love watching fly on the wall shows like Drive To Survive which goes behind the scenes of F1, so thought it could be really fun to allow the cameras to see how we make Saturday Night Takeaway. I'd love to see behind the screens on more entertainment shows."

But before the documentary airs viewers have plenty to look forward to in the Saturday Night Takeaway finale, which has seen the pair jet off to Florida with a 200 lucky viewers for a one-week stay at Orlando's Universal park. Teasing what fans can expect this Saturday, Ant and Dec confirmed on This Morning that Pussycat Doll and X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger will be Star Guest Announcer for the finale, while they will also be joined by co-stars Andi Peters, Fleur East and Stephen Mulhern for the Orlando special.

But Dec quickly ruled out suggestions that there would be a Sunderland forfeit involved if he lost this year's Ant vs. Dec. After This Morning's Dermot O'Leary asked if he could "feel a Sunderland shirt coming on", Dec quickly shot back: "No, no, no, no! Definitely not!"
