Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway: Jeremy Clarkson fuming after 'deserved' prank

Jeremy Clarkson looked "unimpressed" during a prank on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

The 18th season of the popular ITV programme is set to start tonight.

The TV personalities have regularly played pranks on celebrities such as Simon Cowell and Holly Willoughby since the show first debuted in 2002.

Jeremy Clarkson is the target on tonight's premiere - and Dec revealed the former Top Gear presenter has been on their hit-list for about "10 years".

He told This Morning : "We always thought, 'we'll never get him, we'll never get him', and we got an in.

"His lovely girlfriend Lisa, she said: 'Come down to the farm and we'll set him up.

"He's got a temper as we all know, so we were very nervous about it.

"We've got a hit list of people and we are constantly looking at ways, who can we go through."

Ant joked that Jeremy "deserves" to be pranked during an appearance on the One Show earlier this week - and ITV has now shared a first look teaser, which shows a fake protest being held at the 61-year-old's Diddly Squat Farm.

Ant jokes Jeremy looks "very unimpressed" as protesters chant "no more toil, keep your soil".

The Who Wants to be A Millionaire host cut off a protester in the clip and said: "The thing about soil is that you can't hurt it."

Dec is disguised in wig and jokes Jeremy should "phone a friend" with a megaphone.

Viewers were in stitches after ITV posted a snippet of the prank on Instagram.

Fiona said: "This is going to be a classic."

Frances added: "this is going to be hilarious."

Victoria posted, alongside laughing emojis: "Jeremy’s fuming"

Danielle commented : "Brilliant!!"

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway airs tonight at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub
