Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway gets big change that leaves hosts choked up

Ant and Dec are massively excited and rather choked up over a big change for the new series of Saturday Night Takeway.

The last two runs of the award winning ITV show have been rather turbulent, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic; with the Geordie pair even having to present the programme separately from their living rooms in 2020 as the country went into lockdown.

That followed the audience being banned from the Takeaway studio as cases of Covid rocketed and, when the show returned last year, Ant and Dec were forced to present in front of a huge video wall made up of fans watching from home.

However, as they appeared on Friday's This Morning to tease what to expect from episode one, they told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary that a studio audience is allowed once again.

After announcing that fans would be back in the studio, Dec admitted: "Honestly, I got a bit choked up when I came in this morning and I just saw we had the audience seating back.

"It's here in the studio and I was 'oh my god, they're going to be in here tomorrow!'

"I'm so excited."

One of the highlights of Saturday' Takeaway series launch, aside from an exclusive from the stars of Drag Race UK, is an Undercover, which sees Ant and Dec get one over nf Jeremy Clarkson.

The lads join other fake protesters at Jeremy's farm, who are demanding rights for soil.

As a startled Jeremy arrives home and gets out of his car,one of the activists handcuffs themselves to the Millionaire host's car, as Ant looks on in delight from a hidden production room.
