Ant and Dec 'panic' as Alison Hammond almost 'ruins' ITV Saturday Night Takeaway prank

Ant and Dec ‘panicked’ after Alison Hammond almost ruined their ITV Saturday Night Takeaway comeback. The TV duo spoke up on BBC The One Show ahead of Saturday Night Takeaway airing on ITV this weekend starring Alison Hammond.

The Britain's Got Talent duo, Ant and Dec, are set to return to TV screens this weekend. This Morning’s Alison Hammond is set to appear on the show and will star in the prank segment.

A teaser of the show aired on The One Show, yesterday, February 23, showing Alison entering a creepy-looking hotel. Ant and Dec can be seen lurking in a secret room to carry out the prank. Alison was immediately put off by the place, as she dubbed it ‘haunted’ in the foyer, reports Birmingham Live.

She was then seen in a guest room saying: “A million percent I'm not staying here.” Alison said: “This place is haunted. I feel it. I have an affinity with spirits.”

Ant admitted: “I actually feel a bit sorry for her watching that.”

Dec added: “She got as far as reception and said I'm not staying here. This place is too spooky. We've set the whole place up, and got hidden cameras everywhere.” Ant added: “We had to ring the plant, which was the producer from This Morning and get her into the restaurant for a drink at least.

“We then had to ring the driver and just get him away so she didn't have a car to go to. We had to do anything we could to keep her there.” Dec said: “That is the one that very nearly didn't happen. It's the closest to falling apart."

Ant added: “There's genuine panic on our faces.” The Geordie duo return on ITV Saturday Night Takeaway this Saturday evening on ITV and ITVX.
