Ant and Dec appeared to confirm when we can expect Saturday Night Takeaway to be back, just as Ant has been left feeling the repercussions of the most recent series and the show celebrates a landmark birthday.
Earlier this year, Ant and Dec were never off our screens as they firstly fronted the first 'normal' run of Takeaway, having juggled staging the live show every week with coronavirus restrictions in both 2020 and 2001 and then launched their new ITV gameshow Limitless Win. There was reason to celebrate for the Geordie duo at last month's BAFTA TV Awards, when Takeaway took home the Best Entertainment award.
The most recent series of their long running show saw Ant and Dec send jaws dropping with their epic drag makeover, as well as performing with Michael Buble, orchestrating a live wedding in front of millions of viewers and lead a mass singalong at the end of the final episode. And, something else that happened in the last show of the series was the Ant vs Dec showdown.

Unfortunately for Ant, it was Dec who triumphed with him then having to take on a forfeit of having to do a social media video every month saying how amazing Dec is. The latest video saw Ant take to the stage at Britain's Got Talent as Dec sat in the judge's seat.
And, it was the caption that Ant used when posting the video that seemingly gave the game away on when Saturday Night Takeaway will be back, with him writing: "It's a "Yessss!" from one of us, and a "Buzz off!" from the other! Just nine more of these monthly forfeits to go until Ant v Dec returns."
You heard it there first, if, Saturday Night Takeaway should be back in February/March 2022.
The tweet about Ant's forfeit came as the presenting pair were reminded that it was 20 years ago that the first episode of Saturday Night Takeaway aired.
