Ant and Dec confirm they both have Covid as they share photo of their positive tests

Ant and Dec have confirmed that they've both tested positive for Covid, posting photos of their test results to social media. The pair will not only miss a special magicians-themed edition of Britain's Got Talent, but also the National Television Awards 2022.

Taking to Twitter, the duo confirmed the news and wrote: "Sadly, it’s true… We even get ill together! After feeling unwell a few days ago we both tested and we’re positive for Covid." Earlier in the day on Wednesday, October 12, an ITV spokesperson said that Ant & Dec had postponed all work plans while they recover.

The post continued: "We’re resting up at home and are so sorry we can’t be at #NTAs2022. Best of luck everyone and get well soon to anyone else in the same boat x." Ant & Dec's positive tests could mean that they miss out on the chance to collect a 21st consecutive Best Presenter NTA. In the category, they are up against Graham Norton, Alison Hammond and Bradley Walsh.

The presenting duo were flooded with well wishes after they announced that they had Covid. Fellow TV presenter Louise Minchin, who appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, simply wrote: "Nooooo".

Meanwhile, another person replied to the post and said: "I hope you both get well soon. Fingers crossed for you guys tomorrow hope you win an award. You both are amazing in what you do. Good luck lads. Hope you feel better soon."

A third commented: "Get well soon legends we know you’re gonna win," remaining optimistic about their NTAs victory.
