Ant and Dec cause Britain's Got Talent 'chaos' with first day prank on Bruno Tonioli

Ant and Dec caused chaos on the new series of Britain's Got Talent on the very first day of filming, having played a prank on new judge Bruno Tonioli.

After a lot of talk that comedian Alan Carr was going to fill the vacant chair on the panel left by David Walliams' exit, it was confirmed earlier this year that it would be former Strictly expert Bruno who'd be following in David's footsteps, rather than Alan with Bruno full of excitement as he made his debut at rehearsals.

As news of his BGT appointment broke, Bruno said: "Here we are, Britain's Got Talent. I am so excited. It's my first show, I have no idea what's going to happen, but I'm sure it's going to be brilliant."

Within days of Bruno taking his seat on the Britain's Got Talent judging panel and filming kicking off on the hit ITV programme's new series, reports emerged that the show's new star had been at the centre of some disruption, after pressing his Golden Buzzer more than once.

And Ant and Dec have now admitted that they were responsible for Bruno thinking that was an acceptable move.

In an interview ahead of BGT's return ion Saturday, April 15, they said: "We, quite mischievously, kept telling him different rules," they said. "So when he hit his golden buzzer on the first session of the first day, mid-way through an act, we told him not to worry because he had another golden buzzer tomorrow, and that he had one every day."

They added: "That might have something to do with the fact we have more golden buzzers this year."
