Ant and Dec ask I'm A Celeb viewers 'What were you thinking?' after Boy George's exit

Ant and Dec were not happy with the decision made by I'm A Celebrity viewers at home after Boy George was voted off.

The Geordie duo took to Instagram Live following Tuesday's episode, which saw the Culture Club icon become the latest celebrity to depart camp. He told Ant and Dec that he had had an "amazing time", despite being branded "toxic" by some fans for making negative comments about his fellow campmates on several occasions during his time on the show.

As soon as Boy George crossed the famous bridge, the presenters were quick to pull sad faces and make thumbs-down gestures at the camera. Dec admitted that he was "gutted" the star had been voted out of the jungle - while Ant had some choice words for viewers responsible.

"I'm just annoyed," Ant could be heard saying as the credits rolled on the main show. As they turned to the camera to address Instagram viewers, he continued: "What a god damn shame.

"I really, really enjoyed Boy George in there. I loved him. I thought he was really good fun."

"He was at the centre of a lot of the fun and the conversation in camp. I loved his and Seann's relationship," Dec chimed in to agree.

Surging forward towards the camera, Ant shouted at fans watching at home: "What were you thinking, man? What were you thinking? Why did you do that? It's all your fault, that is."

The pair have previously defended Boy George against complaints from viewers over his attitude in camp, with Dec responding to one fan who accused the star of being 'two-faced': "I don't think he is two-faced. He's telling everybody what he's thinking."

Boy George posted a defiant message to fans on Twitter shortly after being voted out of camp, writing: "Eating pizza and watching FIFA World Cup replay after a lovely long shower. Thanks for all the amazing messages. The love always transcends the negativity. This b*tch still gives great headline. I have seen them all and laughed heartily!"

There are now seven stars left in the jungle following Boy George's exit: Jill Scott, Owen Warner, Matt Hancock, Babatúndé Aléshé, Chris Moyles, Seann Walsh and Mike Tindall. ITV will air a feature-length episode this Sunday to crown the king or queen of the jungle in the bumper finale.
