The 49ers on Friday hosted a pair of veteran wide receiver on free agent visits. Laquon Treadwell and Chris Conley both met with San Francisco per the NFL’s transaction wire.
News of Treadwell’s pending visit came down Thursday. He’s a seven-year veteran and former first-round pick with just 110 receptions in his career with the Vikings, Falcons, Jaguars and Seahawks.
Conley has been in the NFL for eight seasons after being selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2015 draft. He’s put together a nice career with 217 catches, 2,853 yards and 15 touchdowns. Conley spent four years with Kansas City and two with Jacksonville. In 2021 he signed with the Texans. He began last year with Houston, but finished the season with Tennessee.
His best year came with the Jaguars in 2019 when he hauled in 47 balls for 775 yards and five touchdowns.
