Authorities in Missouri are investigating a possible arson attack at a Tesla dealership that left two Cybertrucks damaged by fire.

Tesla and its vehicles have increasingly become targets of vandalism and protests, particularly following CEO Elon Musk's involvement in President Donald Trump's administration as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Late Monday night, a Kansas City police officer noticed smoke coming from a Cybertruck parked at the Tesla dealership on State Line Road, KMBC reported.

Despite attempting to extinguish the fire, it quickly spread to a second Cybertruck before the Kansas City Fire Department arrived to control the blaze.

Firefighters used additional water and covered the vehicles with fire blankets to prevent reignition. The Bomb and Arson unit was called in, and authorities suspect the fire was deliberately set.

As the investigation continues, authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and searching for potential suspects. If confirmed as arson, this would add to a growing list of incidents targeting Tesla properties.
