New owners have been confirmed for a third pub out of the four that closed suddenly at the end of March. An announcement on the Tap & Barrel's Facebook page confirmed plans to reopen this coming Thursday, April 27, ahead of the first May bank holiday weekend.
The post said that "the new management [is] looking forward to meeting all the regulars and new faces" and has encouraged people to show their support. Tracey Stiley has taken over as landlady of the Tap and Barrel and has been working on revamping the pub ahead of its opening.
Speaking to BristolLive, the Tap & Barrel said it would be open on Thursday from 10am until 11pm. "Friday will be 10am - late with free pool and juke box from 7pm and Saturday will be disco from 8pm," it added.

The news comes after the London Inn, Albert Lounge, Black Cat and Tap & Barrel - all pubs within a 200 yard radius in Bedminster - closed suddenly on March 29 and shocked the community. The licensee holder for all four pubs said she could no longer continue with rising prices and bills. BristolLive understands four pubs are owned by the same person who had been leasing them all out to the same businesswoman.
The Black Cat was the first pub to reopen just one week after the closures, welcoming drinkers again from Good Friday (April 7). Darren and Caroline Godfrey announced they had taken on the lease of the Black Cat in West Street with Mark and Katie Whiteman taking on the management of the pub.
Likewise, the London Inn on Cannon Street opened once again on Friday, April 14 welcoming new owners, sharing news on social media of its plans to bring back karaoke night and host barbecues. As it stands, Albert Lounge is now the only pub that remains closed. BristolLive understands there is hope for the final one to reopen, with prospective new leaseholders having been shown around.
