Another perennial Pro Bowler contemplating future with the Browns

Could Denzel Ward take a page from Myles Garrett’s playbook and request a trade from the Cleveland Browns next?

The Browns are facing a dilemma as the fallout from Garrett’s trade request continues to ripple throughout the organization.

Now, his potential departure raises serious concerns about the team’s direction. The Browns have built their defensive identity around their defensive line, with Garrett as its lynchpin. If he is dealt, it will undoubtedly cause a domino effect on the franchise, leaving us bereft of any elite talent and cast adrift in a sea of mediocrity.

Speaking with Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland dot com, cornerback Denzel Ward didn’t mince words when reacting to the news.

“Are we trying to win if we’re trading Hall of Fame players like that?”

Ward’s comments underline a growing sentiment within the organization that moving Garrett could signal a larger shift in direction—one that raises serious questions about Cleveland’s viability as a contender.

When informed that the Browns have no intention of trading Garrett—not even for two first-round picks—Ward’s response shifted to optimism.

“That’s great news.. We’ve got to get this thing rolling in Cleveland, and get the quarterback position together and get a few other positions together and find a way to compete for championships and make it here where we get to a Super Bowl.”

Ward’s comments hint at a silver lining: while uncertainty looms, the team believes that the Browns’ window isn’t closed just yet.
