Another Ohio State football offensive lineman hitting the transfer portal

The Ohio State football season isn’t quite over yet as they will battle the Texas Longhorns in the College Football Playoff semifinal, coming off a 41-21 win over the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl.

However, the Buckeyes have already lost a key reserve for next season.

George Fitzpatrick, a redshirt sophomore offensive tackle, per Chris Hummer of 247Sports, is expected to transfer. There are yet to be reports on where he could land, but he has been a pivotal reserve for the Buckeyes this season.

Fitzpatrick, who is from Englewood, Colorado, was a four-star prospect out of high school and performed well for most of the season, earning a 73.8 grade from Pro Football Focus.

Fitzpatrick is a 6-foot-6 tackle and comes in at 313 pounds. He’s a massive weapon for the Buckeyes offensive line and was the No. 2-ranked player in the state of Colorado for the Class of 2022.

There’s no denying that Fitzpatrick heading home to Colorado could be a possibility, and there should be more information on his decision in the coming months.
