You’ve got to hand it to Endemol Shine for keeping it in the family. The production company behind diabolical reality shows Married At First Sight and Love Triangle has managed to recast not one, but two former MAFS villains in the latest season of the reality series.
After all, if the drama-bringing antics of MAFS villains ain’t broke, why fix it, right?
The third season of Stan’s Love Triangle kicked off earlier this month, with 2019 MAFS contestant Mike Gunner gaining headlines for his return to reality television. But it turns out he wasn’t the only MAFS star in the mix, with season eight’s Sam Carraro making a very short-lived, dramatic appearance on the show.

In the latest episode of Love Triangle, Sam is revealed to be one of Ariana’s two text matches. However, when it came time to meet Ari, he backed out of the show, claiming that Ari wasn’t his “cup of tea”.
As a result of the ghosting, Ari was forced to pick her other match, Nuri, to move in, which thankfully seemed to work out for the best when they got along like a house on fire.
So, you can imagine Ari’s surprise when she opened the door to find Sam standing there.
“I thought you fucked off. Come in, I guess,” she said.
“What the fuck are you doing here?”

Although Sam explained that he might have jumped the gun and judged her prematurely, Ari didn’t seem too impressed.
“I’m a little bit confused, I thought I wasn’t your cup of tea, doll,” Ari said.
“You weren’t,” Sam quipped back.
The pair had a bit of spiky back and forth before Sam hit her with this zinger.
“Have you never been rejected before? Is that the big problem?” Sam said. While he moved his stuff to the guest room, it wasn’t long until he decided to storm out.
“I’m not doing this, I’m out.”
Production then followed Sam down the street as he powerwalked away with his suitcase in tow.
It was very dramatic and lasted less than five minutes.
In case you need a refresher, Sam is a clothing brand owner who was matched with Coco Steadman on season eight of MAFS. He became a pretty polarising figure because of his sarcastic and outspoken nature.
Clearly, things didn’t work out for the pair and after MAFS, he fulfilled the prophecy of participating in a reality star boxing match.
You can watch seasons one to three of Love Triangle on Stan.
