Another head coaching interview is scheduled for the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Baltimore Ravens’ offensive coordinator Todd Monken will be interviewing for the opening.
Schefter added that Monken will also interview for the Chicago Bears’ head coaching job on Friday.
Monken was with the Jaguars from 2007-2010 as the wide receivers coach. More recently, he’s been with the Ravens as the offensive coordinator the last two seasons.
Before that, Monken was the Georgia offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2020-2022. He’s also held the offensive coordinator title with Cleveland (2019) and Tampa Bay (2016-2018), along with being the head coach at Southern Miss (2013-2015).
Over the last two seasons with Monken as the offensive play caller, the Ravens have ranked top-five in both scoring and yards per play, including leading the NFL in that category this season.
In an interview with the Ravens’ team site, some core features of Monken’s offense include creating space and attacking all parts of the field, going no-huddle, creating mismatches with the tight ends, leaning on the run game, and getting the quarterback on the move.
Along with Monken, the Jaguars have already interviewed or will interview Robert Saleh, Patrick Graham, Liam Coen, Steve Spagnuolo, Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Kellen Moore, and Brian Flores.
