Commanders suffer another humiliating loss to Giants, 31-19

The Washington Commanders had another discouraging, disgusting, inexcusable, embarrassing loss to the New York Giants today at FedEx Field, 31-19.

The most telling statistic may have been the fact that the Commanders turned the ball over not just a few times but six times in total. Yet the Commanders again could not force a single turnover.

If it is possible, the news gets worse: This team has to turn around and travel to Dallas for a Thanksgiving Day contest against the Cowboys.

Following the evidence, what else are we to think but that the Commanders will be so bad Thursday that they are going to put sour into our Thanksgiving Day?

The Cowboys?

Yeah, you remember them? They actually played the New York Giants twice this season. When facing the Giants, the Cowboys both times wiped the turf with the Giants. There was a 40-0 slaughter, and then last week, they coasted to a 49-17 win.

On Sunday, the Commanders were facing Tommy DeVito, a quarterback with only one career start. In his first lengthy appearance replacing the injured Daniel Jones, the Giants were blown out by the Raiders 30-6. Then last week, it was the Cowboys and a 32-point rout.

But the Commanders made DeVito look like a veteran when he completed 18 of his 26 passes for 201 yards. DeVito was sacked nine times by the Commanders yet still was able to keep his composure and answer with three touchdown passes. Can the secondary cover anybody?

What must new owner Josh Harris be thinking?

I guess he is thankful (get it? Thanksgiving?) most fans do not purchase their tickets on a week-to-week basis. Because if that were the case, we can’t even imagine how empty FedEx would be for the remaining home games this season.

I’m going outside and taking a walk, I’ve had enough bad football for one day.
