Announcers set for Patriots Week 17 game vs. Chargers

The announcers have been set for Saturday’s Week 17 game between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Chris Rose will handle the play-by-play duties, while Ross Tucker will handle the analysis. Steve Wyche will be on the sideline for the NFL Network contest, as the Patriots look to get their fourth win of the season.

This will be the second straight regular season meeting between the Patriots and Chargers. Last time out, the Chargers defeated the Patriots by a 6-0 margin. It was a game where defense ruled the day.

The Patriots will have Drake Maye under center at quarterback instead of Bailey Zappe. So there’s hope that the offense can be more effective this time around.

They’ll look to equal their win total from the 2023 season and end a five-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Chargers hope to build off their 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos and ensure a spot in the playoffs.

These are two teams headed in opposite directions, but even with the playoffs off the table, the Patriots are still showing some fight in games. They nearly upset the Buffalo Bills in Week 16.

We’ll see if they can knock off the Chargers on Saturday.
