'Announce Sterling' - Chelsea supporters make transfer demand as USA pre-season tour begins

Chelsea fans are desperate to see the club officially announce the signing of Raheem Sterling.

The England international has penned a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge and there's an option in his contract that allows the club to keep him for a further year.

Sterling has become the first men's team signing of the Todd Boehly era. He will now join up with Thomas Tuchel and the first-team squad for the Blues' pre-season tour of the United States, during which games against Club America, Charlotte FC and Arsenal will be played.

football.london understands Chelsea will pay Manchester City an initial fee worth around £45million for Sterling. A further £10million will be due to the Premier League champions if a number of performance-related add-ons are met throughout the 27-year-old's time at Stamford Bridge.

Whilst everything is done on Sterling's side and the transfer is complete, fans are still awaiting the customary announcement video that comes with a statement signing nowadays.

And it's fair to say that the Blues faithful are getting a little impatient. There was only one response to a video of club legend Joe Cole behind the scenes in the US, and unfortunately for Cole, it had nothing to do with him.

That's because fans on Twitter only want to see Sterling announced. Take a look at some of what's been said below.

@90sSophie said: "Show me Sterling."

@dcberry_ said: "Announce Sterling."

@Kofi_Kwarteng said: "Why the delay in announcing Sterling?"

@CFC_Ali10 said: "This ain't Sterling?"

@CameronCF9 said: "Where's Sterling?"

@AbiolaMelody said: "Announce Sterling and Koulibaly."

There's plenty more responses like the ones above and so, the message to the club is very clear. Let's just hope it's announced sooner rather than later.
