Annie Lennox’s inaugural SISTERS: Annie Lennox and Friends concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall brought together a host of stars for a night of music, storytelling, and solidarity in support of The Circle, the global feminist organisation she founded 17 years ago.
Thursday night’s concert aimed to raise awareness and funds for The Circle’s work in supporting vulnerable women and girls around the world, at a time when women’s rights are increasingly under threat.
Hosted by broadcaster Clara Amfo, the evening featured an impressive lineup of artists, musicians, and poets, including Beverley Knight, Celeste, Hozier, Lola Lennox, Nadine Shah, and Paloma Faith.
The concert kicked off with a performance by BBC Folk Singer of the Year, Ríoghnach Connolly and followed by Rakaya Fetuga with a poetry reading exploring themes of identity, faith, and womanhood.
The evening continued with two unreleased tracks by Celeste before Nadine Shah delivered a raw and emotional set. Beverley Knight then took the stage, filling the venue with her soulful energy.
Lennox’s own headline performance followed, where she treated the audience to some of her classic songs such as Sweet Dreams and Broken Glass.

Special guests joined her throughout the set, including a duet with Hozier on Take Me to Church, a performance with her daughter Lola Lennox, and a finale with Paloma Faith and all the night’s performers, singing the anthem Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves.
Reflecting on the event, Lennox said: “It was a deeply moving experience to perform alongside so many phenomenal artists and speakers last night at The Royal Albert Hall, for the inaugural SISTERS event in support of The Circle.
“Profound gratitude to everyone who was able to join us. It was truly amazing to bring women and allies together, to find inspiration and community in each other, as well as raising much needed funds to support our outstanding female led organisations around the world.”
