Anne-Marie was left horrified when a stranger made rude comments about her weight.
The Ciao Adios singer was on a little mini break with her parents at a holiday park. They were all playing bingo together when the random man came up to her and made a nasty comment about her figure.
Anne-Marie discussed the recent interaction with the man as she chatted with co-star Olly Murs about the upcoming series of The Voice UK. The ITV show is making its return on September 3, for another series of the popular talent show, which sees singers perform to the judges - who have to make the decision based solely on their voice - to try and bag a place in the next round.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, she said: "I went to a holiday park the other week with my parents doing bingo and this man came up to me and goes, it's true what they say you do add pounds on on the TV, don't you? I was like f**k off."
Her co-star Olly Murs then chimed in and referenced Anne-Marie's incredible sporting skills including her black belt in karate, adding: "I don't think they knew you were a karate champion. You should have just drop kicked him."
He also admitted it was something he experienced too.
"It's something you get quite a lot. People always say, oh the TV puts pounds on you," he shared of his own experience with trolls and how people felt they could comment on his figure because he was on TV.
Whilst Anne-Marie was understandably unenamoured with the comments, she had a successful holiday trip and won the bingo. However, she was then faced with another issue - how to keep her identity a secret, and opted for a fake name.
Speaking about her bingo game, she revealed her identity was busted instantly: "I did win though! I had to go on stage and they were like what's your name, and I was like Ivy! And they were like, no you're Anne-Marie."
Anne-Marie had previously opened up about her serious weight disorder, which caused her to buy "dangerous" pills online.
"I stopped eating properly. I got really skinny - unhealthily so," she said of her post-school years, "I'd been obsessed with being thin but I started to notice the girls they [Rudimental, who she went on tour with] found attractive were curvy.
"Of course, me being me, I took that on board 110 per cent and totally changed my approach overnight. I started buying pills off the internet that made me put on weight. It was ridiculous, and dangerous."
