Anne Heche died yesterday after crashing into a house in Los Angeles with "signs of narcotics" in her blood steam in an accident which took place last week.
The actress, 53, posted a slew of cheerful photos just weeks before the horrific accident which saw her car catch fire.
In her last post she grinned as she stood beside friends on set with the caption: "Good times on set with Lawrence Bros!"
In another she wore a sunhat and a brown polkadot dress as she chatted away to the camera in Boston.
"Hey everybody here in Boston, rocking a new character. Doing a romcom here and having an absolute blast," she told her followers.
She also hosted a podcast called Better Together Anne and Heather and would regularly share clips from their show.
The podcast's bio reads: "We celebrate friendship, and we believe that we can create more joy in the world by sharing our stories, stumbles, and triumphs.
"We curate the most fascinating guests for our listeners and us so we all can expand our knowledge and progress our curiosity. But, let's face it – we are not fabulous all by ourselves! We are Braver together."
Meanwhile, in a photo taken moments before the horrific accident, Anne is seen smiling while posing with a red wig.
In the hour leading up to the crash, Anne paid a visit to hair salon Glass Hair where the selfie was snapped.
The owner of the store Glass took to Instagram at 10.35am on August 5 to share a snap of the pair after she bought a $125 wig, describing Anne as "lovely".
He wrote: "So I met @anneheche today and she purchased a #redwig so random.. I love #venicebeach #actress #director #mom #celebrity #lifestyle".
The actress, 53, who has legally been declared dead, has not yet been taken off life support as her family are seeking a match for organ donation.
She suffered severe burns and lung damage after her car ploughed into the house in Mar Vista on Friday 5 August.
It has been reported that preliminary blood tests have showed that the Donnie Brasco actress had "signs of narcotics" in her system.
In a statement her family said that they had "lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend".
"Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy," they added.
"Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact."
Anne dated Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000 and the couple paved the way for same-sex relationships - which at the time were far less visible.
Upon hearing the news, Ellen tweeted: "This is a sad day. I'm sending Anne's children, family and friends all of my love".
In 2002, Anne gave birth to her son Homer, now 20, who she shares with Coleman Laffoon.
The couple went their separate ways three years later, before Anne met James Tupper.
They welcomed Atlas, now 13, in 2009, before separating after nearly a decade.
She previously opened up about being a single mum to two children: "It’s exactly like they say: girls like to sit and colour and they are sweet and they let you comb their hair.

"I play all these things I never thought I would play. Anything with a ball they love. Boys are cuddlers and lovers though. When you tire them out, they love to sit and cuddle their mama. That’s the blessing of boys."
