Annan Athletic’s Chris Johnston has his sights set on the play-offs.
The forward bagged a brace last week against East Fife in a 3-0 win which took the Galabankies into third in the table.
He said: “It’s good to get the accolades but collectively it’s all about getting into the play-offs and finishing as high as we can.
“We’ve come close to getting through the play-offs, we’ve got a good group of players in there. We know on our day, we’ll be a match for anybody.”
League Two’s Player of the Month for December revealed manager Peter Murphy has demanded goals from across the squad.
After a double on Saturday Johnston will be hoping to do the same this weekend away to Bonnyrigg Rose with help from the experience of new signing Wullie Gibson.
He said: “The gaffer has drilled that into us that he wants others to help chip in with goals.
“With Tommy Goss scoring a lot the gaffer has tasked us with getting more goals.”
He added: “Wullie’s played all over the place and has massive experience under his belt.
“It’s a great signing for us, we’ve got a tight group and we all want to do well for the club. Hopefully this is us turned a wee corner going into the business end of the season.”
