- Former tennis player Annabel Croft revealed her late husband, Mel Coleman, experienced persistent pains in his side before being diagnosed with cancer.
- Initially dismissed as indigestion, the pains turned out to be a symptom of colon cancer, which later spread to other organs.
- Coleman died from sepsis caused by a perforation from a tumour after a trip to Portugal, just 16 weeks after his diagnosis.
- Croft and Coleman were married for 30 years and had three children. They even started a tennis academy together during lockdown.
- Inspired by her husband's love for the show, Croft participated in Strictly Come Dancing following his passing.
