A cost of living crisis protest is set to take place in Leeds this weekend. Organised by the Enough is Enough Campaign, the protest will take place at the train station on Saturday, October 1, at 10am.
Hundreds of people are expected to join the rally demanding the Government tackle the cost of living crisis. People have seen energy bills rise, food costs increase and general spending skyrocket, forcing strikes and unhappy conversations about what those in power should do to help.
Enough is Enough is a campaign made up of trade unions and community organisations with a list of demands for the government.

Since its creation, the group has gathered over 500,000 supporters who have joined rallies all over the country. On Saturday, there will be protests happening in 50 cities and towns across Britain. The demands are simple, the group will be asking for pay rises, opposing the energy bills price hike and asking the government to end food poverty.
Two-hundred and thirty-one people have already responded to the Facebook event. The group said: "It's time for action. All over the country, our packed-out rallies have held the same message; the working class is back, we know what we want and we’re getting organised to win it. Now it’s time to live up to our words.
"This Saturday 1st October we’re taking action against the energy companies ripping us off, and the politicians who cheer them on. We’ll be backing our brothers and sisters in the trade unions who are on strike.
"Centrica, parent company of British Gas, posted profits of over £1,300,000,000 just this year. We're going to let them know that this is not going to continue.
"We will meet at the RMT Picket Line at Leeds Station, 10am. We will be showing solidarity to the CWU and the RMT, and making demands of billionaire rip-offs Centrica, by standing together.
"If you can't make it to Leeds in the day, we encourage everyone to go down to their local picket line with homemade 'Enough is Enough' placards and banners."
