ECHO readers have reacted to a Spanish rule which limits the amount of alcoholic drinks holidaymakers can have.
Today the ECHO reported a man was left 'angry and upset' after being sold an all-inclusive holiday but told he could only have 'six drinks a day'. Jason Walker took an all-inclusive trip to Majorca to celebrate his cousin's birthday but found a 'six drinks a day' rule in place for all-inclusive holidays.
The rule, which affects some hotels in the Balearic Islands, including Palma, Ibiza and Magaluf, means holidaymakers are forced to pay extra if they want more than three free alcoholic drinks per meal. The rule is part of a package of measures designed to crack down on anti-social behaviour.

Jason, 42, is urging holidaymakers jetting off to similar Spanish resorts over the summer to check their small print or face incurring hefty drinks costs without warning. He said: "We only found out when we checked in and only budgeted so much because I thought all our food and drink would be covered.
"We were very upset and angry. We’ve come as a family of eight to celebrate my cousin’s 40th and while we have still had a good time, we have incurred extra costs as a result."
He said: "I have looked at the small print and the alcoholic drink rule is there, so I don’t think it should be sold as an all-inclusive holiday, it should be sold as half-board or something along those lines. If you are booking an all-inclusive holiday, I recommend that you look at the small print and see what is actually included and what’s not because the rules have changed."
Many ECHO readers have agreed and commented about the issue on Facebook, Aud Doyle said: "So it's not all inclusive he should be refunded he's been sold a holiday that wasn't what it said." Debbie King replied: "This is disgraceful how they have just pulled this out the hat, anyone already booked should get what they’ve booked for, you watch everyone will start following the same rule and all inclusive won’t be anymore, I’ll fume if my holiday does this."
A third, Jessie Bryen commented: "I see their point though. They're sold a holiday as all inclusive but are only getting a half board holiday." While Thomas Liam Palmer said: "If it's sold as all inclusive then that's exactly what it should be."
However some reader think that six drinks is more than enough, Meads Jodie said: "Isn't six alcoholic drinks a day enough?" Another added: "If so many British "holidaymakers" didn't take free drinks as an invitation to drink as much as possible and cause mayhem these rules wouldn't have been introduced. If six drinks a day aren't enough for you you've got a problem."
