Kris Boyd has declared that Rangers are "broken" as they created an unwanted record of failing to win their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership away fixture.
The Light Blues wee held to a 1-1 draw against Dundee at Dens Park on Thursday night, with Rangers' vulnerable and injury-ravaged defence getting exposed by the maximum endeavour from the home players.
Rangers only had three shots on target in the City of Discovery despite dominating 77 per cent possession during the clash.
Manager Philippe Clement put that down to striker Hamza Igamane not being in the box enough, but Boyd believes that is just another excuse from the Belgian.
And he insists there has been zero progress under Clement's leadership, creating a big decision for the Ibrox board to make with Rangers now 15 points behind league leaders Celtic.

Clement admits Rangers 'not good enough' as he criticises Igamane
Analysing the latest Rangers setback, Boyd told Sky Sports: "Wait until the next game, I think it's Dundee United away. You could just play that interview again for the next one. It's just excuse after excuse. We can sit here and we can speak about injuries but Dundee have got injuries. There's a Rangers team who should come up here and wipe the floor with Dundee yet they were hanging on.
"13 points out of 33 away from home is a disgrace. You can speak about progress, there is none. You speak about players being tired and low on confidence, you absolutely destroyed Celtic a week ago or 10 days ago, destroyed them and now you are struggling for confidence.
"You draw a game and you lose a game before the Celtic game, there was no confidence battle going into the Celtic game. Now after it, you've drew two games again and all of a sudden there's a lack of confidence. It just doesn't make sense.
"I just look at the club right now and on the pitch, it's broken. There is no patterns of play, there's nothing. You are hoping.
"You look at Igamane with that little bit of quality on Sunday [vs Hibernian], you always refer back to the Celtic game as Rangers' best performance of the season but it cant just be a one off. We know that.
"We can speak about it but it's an absolute disgrace that Rangers are in this position. You can say that you've not spent money, but you have, there's been money spent. Yes, there's been cost-cutting but there has been money spent.
"There has been no improvement, he spoke about the injuries as well, that's actually worse, then moving players around and having to play extra minutes. Guess what? You are are football player, that's what you are paid to do.
"There is no progress at all. It's done and you can tell. It's over to Patrick Stewart now because that's the last two away games we've been at and those fans have had enough. It's going to get to a stage where they stop coming to games and then you see the real problems start to materialise for Rangers because this cant continue."
