Angry Emmerdale fans in disbelief as Chas leaves baby Eve in car to romp with Al

Angry Emmerdale fans have shared their shock and disbelief as Chas Dingle looked to leave her baby daughter in the car while she went on a romp with Al Chapman.

The Woolpack landlady turned down a night away at a cottage with her husband Paddy and daughter Eve, only to turn up at another cottage Al had booked as their affair continues to heat up. Arriving at the retreat, Chas told Al she had daughter Eve in the car, but said they would not be disturbed as she was asleep.

The move tipped some Emmerdale fans over the edge as they blasted Chas for her selfishness - in particular at the time when her mum Faith is receiving end of life care for cancer. Some viewers said they were struggling to watch Sunday night's episode.

Taking to Twitter Grianne Doherty said: "WTF is wrong with Chas? Her totally devoted Husband wants to whisk her away to some hotel from some quality time with their Daughter but instead she chooses to leave Eve alone/asleep in the car to hook up with Al yet again. Should be making lasting memories with Faith."

Meanwhile Owen said: "So in the next episode when Chas is no doubt in bed with Al will she go "s***, I've left Eve in the car?". Darren Millar added: "Chas really is so vile and disgusting, she choose that sleeze Al over Paddy and even worse has Eve in the car with her."

User Guardian Angel said: "Yes she's leaving her in the car I think while she has a quick romp. Sunk to lower depths."

Meanwhile the affair storyline got too much for Diane Read who said: "@emmerdale so sick of writer's writing in extra marital affairs - why can't there be 'normal' marriages with 'normal' ups and downs? We all face good and bad times but certainly don't jump into someone else's bed! Goodbye Emmerdale, and goodbye to all the ridiculous nonsense!"
