Anger over 'grossly offensive' swastikas sprayed on benches in Nottinghamshire play park

People have been urged to come forward after 'grossly offensive graffiti' was discovered in a Nottinghamshire play park. It comes after a photo depicting a bench which had Nazi swastikas sprayed on it was shared on social media.

The graffiti was cleared on Tuesday morning, May 9. Councillors in Kirkby-in-Ashfield have spoken out over the "disgraceful act" at the Hornbeam Park, which has only been open for six months.

New councillor Sarah Lewsey, Cllr for Kirkby Cross and Portland, said: “I am appalled at this grossly offensive graffiti. I have been on to the council immediately and they are currently on site removing it."
