A laughing gas cannister and more than 40 bottles were dumped in a cemetery has caused anger and frustratation.
Volunteer litter picker Andy Bulman made the grim discovery while out at Newton-le-Willows cemetery, expressing his disappointment at the waste. He told the ECHO: "It's disappointing and frustrating but I try not to get too upset.
"There are many thousands of people up and down the country, like me, who participate in litter picking. It leaves me with a terrific sense of achievement and having made a difference."

Andy shared a photo of the collected waste to Facebook, in a post he said: "Litter picked the cemetery entrance road, amongst the crisp wrappers, fast food containers, there was 42 bottles."
The amount of waste dumped in the cemetery has sparked outrage among locals, claiming that leaving waste in a cemetery shows disrespect. One person said: "Fantastic effort, well done. Unfortunately there's a lot of people who have absolutely little or no respect/ consideration as to the environment they live in. Very sad."
While another added: "Disgusting, some people just don’t take pride in where they live these days."
St Helens Borough Council support Andy in his picking, and have even provided him with a litter picker.
