The girlfriend of PSV Eindhoven left-back Angelino appears to have confirmed the Spaniard has rejoined Man City.
Angelino only left the Etihad for the Eredivisie outfit last summer but City are set to bring him back under the terms of the buy-back clause which was included in his contract upon the departure.
The 22-year-old has improved drastically during his year in the Netherlands and had a brilliant season with PSV, as he played 43 times for the club and provided 12 assists from defence.
City initially had no intention of signing a left-back in this summer, with sources declaring that they were happy with Benjamin Mendy and Aleks Zinchenko , but have had a re-think over concerns about Mendy’s ongoing fitness troubles.
While not wanting to spend huge money on a new left-back this summer, with priorities lying elsewhere in the squad, Angelino represents a cheap back-up option and it appears as though his girlfriend, Rocio Galindo, has confirmed his return.
She posted a photo on Instagram, with was geo-located as in Manchester, United Kingdom, of a note with the Man City badge that read:
"Welcome back to Manchester!
"We hope you and your family will be happy here. We look forward to helping you settle in and seeing you back on the pitch!
"From first team operations and support."
City are expected to announce Angelino's return in the near future.
