Angela Lansbury stars alongside Daniel Craig in final movie set for release this year

Angela Lansbury will appear posthumously in her last ever film due to be released at the end of this year.

The screen legend, who passed away yesterday at the age of 96, has a cameo in the sequel to the 2019 hit film Knives Out.

Angela is set to play herself in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which also stars Daniel Craig, Kate Hudson and Edward Norton.

It comes after the first film featured a throwback clip of Angela playing the iconic Jessica Fletcher in crime drama Murder She Wrote.

Following the veteran actress' death, the latest Knives Out will also be dedicated to her memory, according to reports.

Hugh Grant, Natasha Lyonne and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who voices a clock, will make cameos, as well as Angela.

Although it is another Knives Out film, director Rian Johnson says it is a standalone movie – in case you missed the first which came out in 2019.

It centres around tech billionaire Miles Bron (played by Norton) who invites his friends on a getaway to his private Greek island

But when someone turns up dead, Detective Benoit Blanc (played by Craig) is put on the case.
