Angel Reese was moved to tears over making the Team WNBA 2024 roster

Chicago Sky rookie forward Angel Reese achieved three fantastic honors on Tuesday.

Outside of being named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for June, Reese joined Caitlin Clark as one of two rookies to make Team WNBA for this year’s All-Star Game.

She also notched her 11th consecutive double-double in a win against the Atlanta Dream, which is the longest streak in WNBA history in a single season.

It’s safe to say she had an absolutely fantastic day.

Reese was overwhelmed with emotion when reacting to the news after the Sky’s 85-77 victory over the Dream as she spoke about how she has proved her doubters wrong by soaring at the WNBA level.

“I’m just so happy,” Reese told reporters on Tuesday. “I know the work I put in.”

Reese has earned herself lots of deserved praise for her stellar rookie season, as she’s giving Clark a real challenge for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year honor.

We have no doubt this is just the start for Reese’s excellent career.
