The last time Angel Reese and the Cavinder twins—Hanna and Haley—crossed paths in a sports environment, it was Reese’s LSU team knocking out the Cavinders’s Miami team in the Elite Eight of this year’s NCAA tournament. This week, though, the trio banded together at the sports world’s annual red carpet-event: the ESPY Awards.
The Cavinders, who have parlayed their college basketball careers and ensuing fame into the WWE, were in attendance as Reese was honored as the Best Breakthrough Athlete. The star forward earned that title after guiding the Tigers to their first national championship in program history and was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Final Four.
That led to a collaboration on the Cavinder twins’s popular TikTok page, with the trio playing up Reese’s “Bayou Barbie” moniker.

During her acceptance speech, Reese called her shot by guaranteeing that LSU would defend its national title next season.
“I just want to thank LSU … my family, my teammates, my coaches, Kim Mulkey, everybody that helped me,” Reese said. “Last year I transferred from the University of Maryland and came to LSU and I just joined a family. So, I just want to say thank you, and another natty is coming. Period.”
