Ange Postecoglou takes in emotional Celtic You'll Never Walk Alone chant

Ange Postecoglou cut a stoic figure after he guided Celtic to a historic eighth treble.

The Hoops ran out 3-1 winners at the national stadium as they defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The game also secured a fifth trophy out of six for Postecoglou during his two years in Glasgow.

It could well be his last with speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham rife.

Some reports have suggested that talks between the Australian and Daniel Levy will take place on Monday.

But it would be fair to say that the 57-year-old's emotions came through as he absorbed the celebrations with supporters at full-time in Hampden.

He took a step back from the players as the fans belted out You'll Never Walk Alone, looking very proud indeed.

Fans will be eager to hear him address his future further now that the game is over and done with.

Prior to the game, he said: "I'm pretty certain our supporters are coming here to hopefully witness another day of history for our football club and this group of players.

"I doubt they're thinking much beyond that, we certainly aren't. We've got a great opportunity today."

Callum McGregor, post-match, pleaded for the boss to stay.

He said: "In terms of being linked, he's done a fantastic job. Honestly, I can't tell you how good he's been since the minute he walked in the door.

"All I can say on a personal note is that I hope we can keep him for as long as possible."
