Tottenham want to appoint their next manager within the next fortnight, according to a report.
Ange Postecoglou has emerged as the leading candidate for the job, with Spurs mightily impressed by the Australian's work at Celtic.
It was said earlier today that the Premier League club were ready to 'step up' their interest in the Hoops boss.
Now, The Independent states that Tottenham wish to make a decision on their next manager in the next ten to 14 days.
The source claims that the North London side wishes to respect Celtic's Scottish Cup final preparations and does not want to act as a distraction to Postecoglou as he readies his team to go on a lift a domestic treble.
With that said, after the game at Hampden is done, a formal approach by Spurs is anticipated shortly after.
Postecoglou is currently seen as the manager who best fits the progressive building project the club desires.
Arne Slot turned down the job, while Spurs have also strongly considered Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva and Graham Potter. It's said that all of these names would be more difficult to hire at this time, although the latter could be on his way to Crystal Palace.
The report states that regardless, Postecoglou is seen as a better fit by the Spurs hierarchy.
Their most recent manager, Antonio Conte, was dismissed without coming close to winning silverware, while previous boss Jose Mourinho was sacked before a League Cup final.
The club remains without a major trophy since the 2008 League Cup.
