Bayern Munich have submitted a £60million-plus transfer bid for Harry Kane, according to reports.
It's claimed Thomas Tuchel is keen to sign the striker - who has one year left on his Tottenham deal.
Ange Postecoglou doesn't even officially start his role as Spurs manager until July 1 but could already face a serious transfer decision.
Any suggestion of a quiet period of acclimatisation to his new surroundings has been rocked by the bumper bid for a key player.
Kane has long been reported as a Manchester United transfer target with question marks over his position at Spurs as his contract runs down.
However, until now - this summer - there haven't been any concrete offers to sign Kane.
Manchester City were interested in Kane two years ago before completing a deal for red-hot Erling Haaland last summer.
Now, though, The Athletic report Bundesliga giants Bayern have tabled a bid worth upwards of €70million - or £60m.
It's reported the bid includes the mammoth up-front fee along with add-ons for Kane.
Postecoglou has already landed his first signing as Spurs boss with Dejan Kulusevski joining the club on a long-term contract.
The winger had been on loan from Juventus but made his move to North London permanent earlier this month.
And former Celtic manager Postecoglou finally had his backroom team confirmed by Spurs this morning.
But crucially, John Kennedy was not one of the new faces at Tottenham with Celtic keeping the long-serving coach as assistant to Brendan Rodgers.
Instead, Postecoglou will be assisted by ex-Celtic assistant Chris Davies alongside Australia legend Mile Jedinak, Rob Burch, Ryan Mason and Matt Wells.
Davies officially takes up the post of senior assistant coach, Jedinak is an assistant coach alongside Mason and Wells in the same position.
Burch returns to Spurs in the role of first team goalkeeping coach.
The new coaching team will begin work when Postecoglou's contract officially begins on July 1.
