The big meeting will take place today as new Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou sits down for a talk with star man Harry Kane. There has been plenty of speculation around Kane's future - as there often is at this time of year - with Bayern Munich in the frame to sign him.
Kane has just one year left on his current contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, meaning he could walk away from his boyhood club for free in the summer of 2024. That has led to intense speculation around his future, with Manchester United initially linked with a move, before tentative rumours of a Real Madrid move once Karim Benzema's exit was confirmed, before Bayern became the most likely destination were he to depart north London.
Bayern have reportedly made two bids for Kane, with the latest being worth around £68million plus add-ons for the England captain. Spurs maintain he is not for sale, with nothing short of £100million likely to tempt chairman Daniel Levy into negotiations.
Kane has a new head coach at Tottenham, with the club moving to appoint Postecoglou as Antonio Conte's permanent replacement this summer. And, with pre-season already in full swing, the two are due for their first meeting on Wednesday.
Kane has been handed extra time off, due to his involvement in international matches following the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, but will return to Hotspur Way and a meeting with Postecoglou on Wednesday morning.
Speaking during his first press conference, Postecoglou reference the meeting he was planning with Kane. He said: "I don’t think it’s my role to sit down and treat people in a manner because of their circumstances. I’m really big on treating everyone the same, and Harry has already entrenched himself in the history of this football club. He’s a very important part. He’s one of the premier strikers in the world and I want him involved. My conversation with him will be about how we can make this club successful. And I’ve got no doubts that's what he wants as well.

"So within that context, whatever that narrows into the personal stuff around Harry as an individual. If the conversation takes it that way then we’ll take it that way. But I doubt it’s going to be defined in the manner that people think it’s going to be. It’s not going to be a conversation where we walk out of the room and have an understanding.
"I don’t want that kind of conversation, what I want is to introduce myself to Harry and give him my vision of the football club. And get a sense from him on what he thinks the club needs to do to be successful and walk out on that training pitch and try and make it happen."
