Ange Postecoglou's most likely first Tottenham signing as transfer window opens

Tottenham Hotspur could be one of the busiest teams in the summer transfer window. With a new head coach at the helm and a rebuild required, Spurs fans will be hoping to see plenty of business.

That will include incoming and outgoing transfers as Daniel Levy looks to give Postecoglou the tolls to shape a squad that had previously been built for Antonio Conte.

Postecoglou prefers a 4-3-3 system, which will mean big changes and questions to be answered for the plethora of wing-backs Conte brought in to the club to play in his 3-4-3 formation. There will also be questions over the wealth of talent that has been out on loan, while Harry Kane's future at the club will be the most interesting for supporters to watch.

But there will be plenty of talk around who Spurs could bring in too, with the transfer window now officially open in the UK.

Tottenham are currently working without a sporting director, following the resignation of Fabio Paratici, meaning Postecoglou is working alongside Levy and the scouting and recruitment departments in N17 to pull together his list of targets.

Spurs have already been linked with plenty of names, but who would be the most likely to make an early arrival at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

The transfer window may be open, but it is only for domestic transfers at the moment, meaning imports cannot sign for a Premier League side until July 1. So, the first signing, if Postecoglou was to make one this month, would have to come from the UK.

David Raya has been the most heavily linked, with Spurs on the lookout for a new No.1, with Hugo Lloris admitting he wanted to return to France with one year remaining on his contract at the club.

Elsewhere there has been talk of James Maddison coming from relegated Leicester, although Newcastle look to be the frontrunners for his services, with Champions League football to offer at St James' Park.

Then there are the likes of Harry Maguire from Manchester United and Postecoglou raiding his former club Celtic for Kyogo Furuhashi.
