Ange Postecoglou says there is no disappointment over Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton's impending departures.
Because the two Celtic greats are getting to say goodbye to the club "in the right way."
It was announced on Friday that the veteran duo will be leaving the club in the summer with both set to play their final game against Motherwell at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Having each joined the club in 2013, they've racked up 34 trophies between them and both played their part in getting this season's Premiership title over the line.
Fans will be sad to see them go but Postecoglou insists it's a "great day for the club", as the stars have aligned to give them the send-off they deserve.
He was asked at his press conference how disappointed he was to see them go, and what efforts the club made to keep them.
He responded: "You're making a couple of leaps and assumptions there.
"I think it's great news. Both Tom and Nir, we've had discussions with them throughout the year and they're both players who have given enormous amounts of service to this football club.
"They've enjoyed every minute of it but they're from the other side of the world. At some point, you have to have some discussions over what their next step is going to be.
"For me, what I really wanted was for them to go in the right manner. I'm sure the fans want to acknowledge them tomorrow and say goodbye in the proper way.
"It's a great day for our football club. It doesn't always happen where these things reach a conclusion. Football can be a pretty brutal industry but in this scenario, we get to honour two of our greats.
"They get the opportunity to say goodbye at Celtic Park in front of 60,000 as champions."
