Ange Postecoglou insists he wasn't bothered by Michael Beale's 'lucky' comments at the turn of the year.
But Andy Walker reckons the Celtic manager was "riled" by the remarks because he "keeps bringing it up."
Prior to Celtic's trip to Ibrox in the New Year, Rangers boss Beale suggested Postecoglou was in a lucky position.
He pointed this out purely in terms of the finances available to the Hoops manager, and no other aspects.
But this certainly seemed to spark somewhat of a fire between the pair, with Postecoglou making reference to Beale's words on several occasions since.
Following the weekend's Scottish Cup semi-final, the Australian insisted the comments don't motivate him because he's built his career up through merit.
But Walker reckons deep down, Postecoglou will still be somewhat bothered by Beale's words.
He told Go Radio's Football Show: "Well he says it doesn't (bother him) but he brings it up often enough and I think he was maybe riled by it
"And he keeps bringing it up as you say. But I think the most important thing is, he keeps winning."
Meanwhile, Greg Taylor has seemingly aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Rangers ace Todd Cantwell.
The Celtic left-back was up against the former Norwich attacker during Sunday's fiercely contested Scottish Cup semi-final.
The game finished 1-0 to the Hoops at Hampden, with Jota scoring the only goal of the afternoon.
One of the other major talking points of the game was Cantwell's performance.
The midfielder was a standout for Michael Beale's side, although he has come in for some criticism for his noising up of Celtic's players, namely Reo Hatate and Taylor.
But the latter insists he enjoyed his clash with the 25-year-old, however, did appear to warn him to do his talking on the pitch from now on.
He told the media: "He's just another opponent. Everyone tries to give their best out there.
"We just do our talking on the pitch and some could learn from that.
"I thought in the first half we had good control of the game, played our football, and had a deserved lead. Then Rangers had the incentive to get the equaliser.
"We were under a bit of pressure but the whole team held up well and, in these cup ties, it's important to get the win and we did that."
