Ange Postecoglou got the ball rolling on potential new Celtic recruits by saying he expects 'progress' in the coming days.
The Hoops boss has already secured a trio of new acquisitions in defenders Yuki Kobayashi and Alistair Johnston who have both made their mark while J-League recruit Tomoki Iwata will bring more squad depth to the league leaders. Postecoglou, however, could be set to lose top stars Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis, both of whom have major interest in their signature.
Reports suggest that 21-year-old South Korea striker Oh Hyeon-gyu is close to a deal, while Celtic's pursuit of Cho Gue-sung seems to have taken a back seat. Yet the Celtic boss, who hosts Greenock Morton in the Scottish Cup on Saturday, insists he hopes for some movement next week and lifted the lid on the futures of Juranovic and Giakoumakis.

When asked for an update, Postecoglou said: “At the moment, progress on incomings and outgoings but nothing confirmed yet. Obviously we are getting to the tail end of the window and I expect progress over the next few days.”
When asked if striker Giorgos Giakoumakis will still be a Celtic player by the end of January, Postecoglou said: “Until I know or hear otherwise, I expect them all to be Celtic players but there has been progress with all those kinds of issues. I guess over the next few days we will see how it all plays out.”
