Ange Postecoglou's "no bulls***" approach has been backed to work at Tottenham.
The 57-year-old is sinking his teeth into his new gig in North London just weeks after leaving Celtic.
The Australian signed a four-year deal with the Premier League giants and officially started his new job on July 1.
He's been pictured putting his players through their paces in the early stages of pre-season training.
And while the new EPL campaign is still around six weeks away, Pat Nevin has already tipped Postecoglou to be a big success at Spurs - especially because of his straight-talking nature.
The former Chelsea and Scotland striker is convinced he has exactly what it takes to cut it in England's top-flight and better Tottenham's last few years, which have been mediocre at best.
Nevin has likened the Aussie's style to Liverpool and Brighton, so has given Spurs fans a flavour of what to expect.
He told Daily Star Sport: "They can mock if they like but I follow world football quite a lot and he got the same stick when he came to Celtic. It was exactly the same.
"I’d followed his progress before that and I think Spurs are lucky to have him, I really do. I think he’s really top quality.
“Now that doesn’t mean he’s going to make them a top-four club. But he’s an extraordinarily good manager, if he’s given the chance. You’ll will enjoy watching his football, you’ll love it if you’re a Spurs fan.
"But you need to give him the opportunity to put his stamp on it. His stamp is a very specific stamp. It’s not unlike the way Brighton plays but that takes a wee while.
“Celtic have been a joy to watch over the last couple of years, absolutely brilliant. And it wasn’t just because they are in a weaker league, it’s because he’s a really good coach.”
“He’s straight-talking, no bulls***,” added Nevin. "The high-rate energy of football [Celtic] played was off the scale. Skilful play as well, but it’s very, very fast. So if you’re a lazy player, you won’t last, no chance.
“Anyone who plays under him will be a hard worker, not unlike the Gegenpress that Liverpool did for a while. He’s got some good ideas.
"He’s good fit and Celtic were the same. It’s a style Spurs fans will like, I’m convinced about that.”
