Ange Postecoglou names his Celtic hero but 'greatest achievement' enquiry gets short shrift

Ange Postecoglou admits he was content to settle for a draw as Celtic took another step towards the title.

Fashion Sakala's second-half equaliser salvaged a draw for Rangers after Jota s volley put the Premiership leaders within reach of effectively sealing the trophy.

Celtic remain six points clear of the defending champions with three games to play and, barring a remarkable collapse, should be crowned league champions.

Postecoglou had Joe Hart to thank for preserving a precious point as he denied Rangers with excellent late saves and the Celtic manager singled out his keeper for praise.

"It was a cracking game," Postecoglou told Sky Sports. "Pretty tight and pretty tense.

"Both teams had chances to get more goals but ultimately it was a good contest between two good teams.

"I'm pleased we got a draw out of it.

"We had the chances and we don't take the chances to get the second and third and they stayed in it.

"In the end, they've got nothing to lose so they're going to throw men forward and put us under pressure which we expected if we were ahead.

"We dealt with it OK but it became difficult at times. Joe Hart hasn't made many saves this year but he was outstanding today.

"That's why we brought him to this football club."

Given the level of scrutiny which met his appointment, there can be little doubt Postecoglou will take considerable satisfaction in making champions of the squad he himself assembled.

But the 56-year-old refused to get ahead of himself with work still to be done, brushing off a question on BBC Sportsound over whether this will be the greatest achievement of his career.

He said: "It's not the time for reflection. That time will come at the appropriate moment.

"Right now it's about supporting the players, they've been unbelievable this year in every challenge we've had."
