Ange Postecoglou lauds Celtic players for 'getting the job done' as he aims Rangers 'only threat' dig

Ange Postecoglou has lauded his Celtic players for 'always finding a way' to win after they beat bitter rivals Rangers 3-2 in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

The Hoops ran out winners once again in the derby with Kyogo bagging another brace against Rangers - having done so in the League Cup final back in late February - and Jota scoring after rounding Allan McGregor. James Tavernier's double threw caution to the wind, but the Hoops prevailed victorious in the end.

They now sit 12 points clear of the Light Blues, which means they are only three games from winning the Premiership title should Rangers drop points in that time. A double is pretty much secured, and a treble could further be secured if they win the derby AGAIN in April.

But whilst Postecoglou was not convinced with his players' performance, he found himself praising his players for getting the job over the line - whilst also throwing shade at Rangers for creating chances 'only from set-pieces'

Postecoglou told Sky: "It was edgy out there. We could've made it more comfortable than it was, but credit to this group of players - they always find a way to get the job done.

"It's hard to analyse at the moment, it's such a big game, the derby - there's so much emotion. Ultimately you want to come outside with positively and analyse, but I think for the most part we weren't too bad.

"I thought we weren't as crisp with our passing and second guessed ourselves at times, but having said that their only real threat was from set-pieces.

"Aside from that we probably could've put the game to bed, but the most important thing is that we won."
