Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou insists he would have been satisfied with a draw due to their mentality shown against Aberdeen.
Jim Goodwin's battling Dons frustrated the Scottish Premiership table toppers until the final stages of the Pittodrie clash but returning captain Callum McGregor lashed in the decisive goal that restores Celtic 's nine point lead over Rangers. Despite the narrow margin of victory the Hoops dominated possession throughout the 90 minutes with Kyogo passing up a brilliant chance to break the deadlock.
When asked on BBC if he was delighted or relieved to get the late goal, Postecoglou sharply replied: "Delight, it's not relief. It's as dominant as I have ever been in a game of football away from home and we got our goal late, but I we didn't get frustrated or disappointed and we made them work. For a performance i can't ask for any more from the lads. Although we could have scored more, which we should have, to win 1-0 in that manner shows the belief the players have in the way we play."
Pushed on if there was any points where he thought it wouldn't be his side's day, he went on: "No, I don't look at it that way. To be honest if we had got a draw I wouldn't have been disappointed. You have to look. at the performance. You want to win every game of football, but the reality is that's not how football works. You look at the mentality and getting the goal is great because it rewards the players."
