Ange Postecoglou in defiant Celtic 'half time' reminder as boss rallies his troops for second leg showdown

Defiant Ange Postecoglou refused to dwell on Celtic's defeat to Bodo/Glimt as he targeted a second-leg revival in Norway.

Postecoglou's side went down 3-1 in their Europa Conference League last 16 play-off first leg but he issued a reminder it's only "half-time" in the tie.

Celtic failed to fire against a streetwise outfit and paid the price on a chastening evening at Celtic Park.

But the Parkhead boss urged his players to dust themselves off go again in the second leg.

"It's still an opportunity," Postecoglou told BT Sport. "From our perspective it's about going there and playing our football.

"When we've done that, we've been a hard team to knock off. We'll go over there, it's half-time, we're 3-1, let's see what happens.

"It's not over, it's half-time. I don't think anyone thinks we're just going over there to play 90 minutes.

"It's part of football, you dust yourself off and go again."

Runar Espejord gave the visitors an early lead before Amahl Pellegrino doubled their advantage after the interval.

Daizen Maeda pulled one back for Celtic, only for Hugo Vetlesen to smash in a third.

Postecoglou's side enjoyed plenty of possession and territory but he concedes they lacked a killer touch in the final third.

The manager said: "It's a disappointing night, obviously. We didn't get the result we wanted.

"Our performance was OK. We controlled the game but were caught on the counter attack a couple of times, which they scored from and that made us vulnerable.

"We had some chances but probably weren't clinical enough."
