Celtic have given Ange Postecoglou permission to speak to Tottenham Hotspur as the Treble-winning boss is on the verge of a move to the English Premier League side.
The 57-year-old emerged as the number one target for the London side in the days leading up to Saturday’s Scottish Cup final and now it has moved a huge step closer with that Hampden victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle almost certainly his last game. Spurs chief Daniel Levy is keen to thrash out a deal for Antonio Conte’s successor and it could be completed as soon as today.
And that will then spark a search for the Parkhead hierarchy to find a replacement for Postecoglou. Former boss Brendan Rodgers is the favourite with the bookies for a return to the east end of Glasgow with West Ham United boss Davie Moyes also on the list. Postecoglou is keen to take his Hoops coaches John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan to London with him.
