Ange Postecoglou gives Celtic vs Rangers instant reaction as he keeps his cool moments after Scottish Cup blockbuster drops

Ange Postecoglou kept his cool in the moments after a stellar Scottish Cup semi-final draw paired Celtic with Rangers.

Postecoglou 's team brushed Dundee United aside on Monday night to book their place in the last four at Hampden and were served a blockbuster tie against their city rivals.

Hearts will play Hibs in the other match in what is the first time ever these four sides have reached the semi-final stage together.

But as the excitement swept over Scottish football, Postecoglou's reaction was typically understated.

Asked for an instant verdict, he told Premier Sports: "OK, yeah. Well, we're in the semi-finals and we've got Rangers. So, on we go."

A double from Giorgos Giakoumakis followed Callum McGregor's early strike as Celtic produced a clinical display at Tannadice.

Dundee United lacked cutting edge and were duly punished by a side now unbeaten in 30 domestic games.

And Postecoglou admit their reward for an accomplished performance was a "massive" meeting with the Ibrox side.

He said: "It's massive. That was the prize on offer today, to get through to a semi-final at Hampden, irrespective of who you play it's going to be a massive game.

"That's the reward for a really good performance from the boys tonight.

"It was a tricky one for us coming here. They're a tough team to beat, the pitch isn't great so you can't really move the ball quickly.

"With all that in context, we worked really and looked really bright, we tried to play as aggressively as we possibly could under the conditions.

"Credit to the boys, it was a good effort."
