Ally McCoist has warned Tottenham fans to not to be too quick in judging Ange Postecoglou.
The Celtic boss has reportedly reached a 'verbal agreement' over making the move south to the English Premier League with Daniel Levy set to ramp up his efforts to make him the next permanent manager of Spurs with contract details revealed. It is reported elsewhere that Ange wants No2 John Kennedy and a number of figures behind the scenes to join him in North London.
Over the years, Spurs have appointed big name managers with huge reputations like Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho. The hope was that would bring the success that the fans crave but the moves never worked out with many skeptical over bringing in the Hoops boss.

However, Rangers hero and talkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist has warned the Tottenham supporters to be 'very guarded' about criticising anybody after the big names that ultimately failed to deliver any success.
The 57-year-old has just completed the Treble at Celtic and completely transformed the playing style and the atmosphere around the club after taking over two years ago. His transfer market success has been another highlight for the Scottish champions.
Speaking on the breakfast show, McCoist explained: "It is a football fans right to have their favourites of who they want to see coming to the club, particularly in the management situation
"However, if I am a Spurs fan I would be very guarded about criticising anybody really. You look at the great managers they've had recently and they haven't had any real level of degree of success.
"I am talking about [Antonio] Conte and [Jose] Mourinho. I know they went to a domestic final with Mourinho and previously went to a Champions League Final with [Mauricio] Pochettino.
"So I am thinking to myself you would be guarded about who you want because the job is absolutely massive. They've had some big, big names previously that probably haven't taken Spurs to where the fans want them to be."
